KUALA LUMPUR, 25 February 2026: A meeting between the Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) JSJ D4 was successfully held today at the VTAREC’s Office to discuss matters concerning stolen Malaysian vehicles in Thailand.
The meeting was chaired by YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, VTAREC Co-ordinator, while the PDRM JSJ D4 delegation was led by YDH ACP Tuan Ahmad Zamry Marinsah. Also in attendance from PDRM JSJ D4 were YDH DSP Tuan Amri Aripin, YDH ASP Tuan Vishnuhindran a/l Arumugam and YDH Insp Tuan Mohd Faizal. Representing VTAREC were Puan Adilah Mohd Akhir, Person-in-Charge of stolen Malaysian vehicles in Thailand, Encik Muhammad Amirun Mohd Shamsuri, VTAREC Executive and Encik Mohd Afiq Sidqi Mohd Ramli, VTAREC Executive.
The discussion was held in a cordial and highly constructive atmosphere, with both parties engaging in meaningful exchanges of views, professional insights and pertinent information concerning cross-border vehicle theft. The engagement underscored the steadfast commitment of both VTAREC and PDRM JSJ D4 to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and enhance operational coordination in addressing cases involving stolen Malaysian-registered vehicles in Thailand.
At the conclusion of the meeting, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid presented a token of appreciation to YDH ACP Tuan Ahmad Zamry Marinsah as a gesture of goodwill and in recognition of the strong collaborative spirit between both parties.
