VTAREC Broaden Public Awareness Campaign in Selangor, Aiming to Educate Public and Children on Preventing Vehicle Theft and Road Traffic Accident

 KAJANG, 28 June 2025:  The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) actively working to raise public awareness about vehicle theft via the implementation of Mini Campaign activities that focus on protecting vehicles from theft and to reduce road traffic accident. During the mini campaign, VTAREC emphasised preventative actions to avoid being a victim of vehicle theft. This mini campaign also plays a significant role in protecting communities and lowering the incidence of vehicle theft and road traffic accident. At the end of the day, participants become more vigilant and take the necessary precautions to protect their vehicles and avoid being the victim of a stolen vehicle. The participants also became extra cautious on the road to avoid road traffic accident.

The mini campaign was held on the first floor of AEON Mall Cheras Selatan, Kajang. It was attended by members of the public as well as from Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) and Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ). Many activities were prepared by VTAREC such as words of advice for protecting our vehicle on the Awareness Wall, wheel of fortunes, quizzes, educational game and colouring contests which attract many visitors from the mall to join the VTAREC booth.

This mini campaign serves as a vital platform for sharing knowledge and providing guidance, empowering individuals, communities, agencies, and other stakeholders to unite in the fight against vehicle theft and to reduce the accident. VTAREC successfully captured the full attention of the crowd with many eager to participate in the educational activities, prizes and contests available.
