SELANGOR, 25 June 2025: The Co-ordinator of Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid paid a courtesy visit on the Officer in-Charge of Police District (OCPD), YDH ACP Shahrulnizam Ja’afar at his office, Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Petaling Jaya, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

The Courtesy Call meeting took place at Bilik Mesyuarat Utama IPD Petaling Jaya
The discussion began with the VTAREC Co-ordinator, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, outlining the role and initiatives undertaken by VTAREC. Both parties exchanged views on current issues related to vehicle theft and road traffic accidents, with particular focus on the frequent theft of motorcycles in the community, a recent accident involving UPSI students, and viral concerns highlighting weaknesses in law enforcement and penalties for misconduct. Issues related to public transport and e-hailing service operators were also raised. The various ideas and initiatives shared by VTAREC were well received, and the police expressed their commitment to future collaboration in jointly addressing vehicle theft and road safety challenges.
