SELANGOR, 19 January 2025: The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), in collaboration with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam and Kor Sukarelawan Polis Siswa/Siswi (Kor SUKSIS), organised a public awareness programme titled “Program Kesedaran Awam Kecurian Kenderaan dan Kemalangan Jalan Raya.” The event was held at Dewan Mawar Qaseh, UiTM Shah Alam.
YBhg Prof Madya ChM Dr Hj Mohammad Noor Jalil, Pengarah Pembangunan Pelajar Ehwal Pelajar Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, delivering his speech as the officiator for “Program Kesedaran Awam Kecurian Kenderaan dan Kemalangan Jalan Raya,” through VTAREC Student Engagement.
The “Program Kesedaran Awam berkenaan Kecurian Kenderaan dan Kesalamatan Jalan Raya” part of the VTAREC Student Engagement initiative was officially launched by YBhg Prof Madya ChM Dr Hj Mohammad Noor Jalil, Pengarah Pembangunan Pelajar Ehwal Pelajar UiTM. Several important guests also attended the event, including YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of VTAREC, YBhg Prof Madya Ts Dr Basharudin Abdul Hadi, Pengarah Akademik Kepolisan UiTM-PDRM UiTM Shah Alam, YDH Tuan ASP Zamrus Zakaria, Pegawai Risikan Operasi, Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ) and YDH Tuan ASP Harun Umar, Pegawai Turus Penguatkuasaan Trafik Kontinjen Selangor.
More than 250 students from various uniform student bodies at UiTM Shah Alam attended the programme, including Kor Sukarelawan Polis Siswa Siswi (Kor Suksis) and Kor Siswa Siswi Pertahanan Awam (Kor Sispa). The event was aimed at raising awareness of vehicle theft and road traffic accidents among students and teenagers to ensure that the new generation knows how to obey traffic rules. Besides that, VTAREC also invited speakers from Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Raya Malaysia (JPJ), Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik and Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ).

KS Tafhim Amsyar Mohd Azahar commenced the event with a heartfelt recitation of prayers.
KS Syahrril Reza Badrul Zahi and KS Putri Camelia Nurfarahain Ibrahim gracefully led the event as emcees.
Speaker 1: YDH ASP Tuan Zamrus Zakaria, Pegawai Risikan Operasi, Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah (JSJ), commenced the knowledge-sharing session by delivering an insightful and impactful presentation. As the first speaker of the ‘Program Kesedaran Awam berkenaan Kecurian Kenderaan dan Kemalangan Jalan Raya,’ he shared valuable perspectives and information aimed at raising awareness on vehicle theft and road accidents.
A student from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam answered the quiz questions given by Speaker 1 during the session.
