VTAREC Organised the First Seminar Regarding Road Traffic Accidents in Johor

JOHOR BAHRU, 29 October 2024:  The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) organised a seminar focusing on road traffic accidents due to human errors. The seminar was attended by various government agencies, including Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Johor, Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPN) Negeri Johor, Jabatan Kerja Raya Negeri Johor, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Agensi Anti Dadah Kebangsaan Negeri Johor, Agensi Pengangkutan Darat Cawangan Selatan, Jabatan Bomba dan Penyelamat Negeri Johor, Angkatan Pertahanan Awam Negeri Johor and Majlis Bandaraya Pasir Gudang, attendance from non-government agencies such as Puspakom Sdn Bhd Cawangan Johor and Persatuan Pengusaha Lori Bahan Batuan Johor.

Participants sang the Bangsa Johor Anthem and the National Anthem.

Encik Aniq Denial Fauzi, Executive of the Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), graced the session with a recitation of prayers during the Seminar.

 The strategic seminar was held at the Thistle Hotel Johor Bahru and received strong participation and an encouraging response. The objectives of the seminar were to share knowledge regarding the human error factors that cause road traffic accidents and how to solve these issues. Human error is often the root cause because it involves behaviours and choices that can be controlled but are not always managed properly.  By understanding these factors, drivers can take proactive steps to reduce their risk on the road.

After all presentations were delivered by all esteemed speakers, the Q&A session took place to give opportunities for all participants to ask any questions or enquiries that had been in mind. The Q&A session received strong participation from the participants regarding the topic, showing the participants giving full focus on the seminar, and all the questions that were raised were clarified by all the speakers. At the end of the session, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of the Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia, delivered all the speaker’s mementoes as a commitment to this seminar.
