KUALA LUMPUR, 2 October 2024: YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan, Chairman of the Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) accompanied by YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of VTAREC, paid a courtesy visit to Mr Ng Kok Kheng, Chairman of Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM), in PIAM office. The visit was also attended by YBrs Tuan Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan, Senior Enforcement Director of the Road Transport Department Malaysia (JPJ); representatives from PIAM, namely Encik Fauzi Rosli, Senior Manager, and Mr Ashwinder Singh, Manager; representatives from the Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA), namely Puan Suhaily Md Noh, Head of Project Management Operations, and Encik Zaifizar Zainal Abidin, Head of Family Technical; as well as representatives from VTAREC, namely Puan Marlyana Mansur, Executive, Encik Aniq Denial Fauzi, Executive, and Encik Farid Akmal Johan, Executive.

Key stakeholders engage in developing partnerships and activities to reduce road traffic accidents in Malaysia, focusing on multi-agency coordination and creative approaches.
Mr Ng Kok Kheng, Chairman of PIAM, began the meeting by welcoming YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan and YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid. YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan, Chairman of VTAREC and Mr Ng Kok Kheng, Chairman of PIAM, exchanged views on road traffic accidents among motorcyclists and discussed collaborative initiatives between PIAM and VTAREC to reduce the number of road traffic accidents.
During the meeting, YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan expressed his gratitude and presented VTAREC’s latest portfolio on road traffic accidents. Mr Ng Kok Kheng conveyed his appreciation for VTAREC’s initiatives and proactive efforts in addressing road safety issues. The discussion focused on concerns shared by both parties regarding road accidents, including bodily injuries and fatalities, particularly among motorcyclists.
