VTAREC Pays Courtesy Call on Ketua Penolong Pengarah JSPT Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman

Courtesy call on the Ketua Penolong Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman, YDH Tuan Superintenden Shankar Sanrakasa by the Co-ordinator of Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid.

 KUALA LUMPUR, 4 February 2026:  The Co-ordinator of Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, paid a courtesy visit on the Ketua Penolong Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Ibu Pejabat Polis Bukit Aman, YDH Tuan Superintenden Shankar Sanrakasa, at his office in Kuala Lumpur.

The visit aimed to further strengthen professional relations between both organizations. It commenced with an overview of VTAREC’s key roles and initiatives in reducing vehicle theft and road accidents nationwide. During the session, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid highlighted VTAREC’s significant achievement in successfully reducing the rate of vehicle theft by over 90% over the past decade.

The meeting mainly focused on collaborative efforts to reduce road accidents in Malaysia, with particular emphasis on the high frequency of accidents involving the motorcycle community. Both parties exchanged inputs on current road safety challenges and agreed on the importance of close co-operation between VTAREC and JSPT in addressing accident-related issues. VTAREC further outlined its proposed plans and initiatives for the year, including road safety awareness programmes and public education campaigns.

The visit concluded on a positive note, with YDH Tuan Superintenden Shankar Sanrakasa expressing his full support for future collaboration with VTAREC, reflecting JSPT’s shared commitment to reducing road accidents in Malaysia. Overall, the courtesy call achieved its objectives and laid a strong foundation for continued cooperation between both parties. Also in attendance were representatives from JSPT, including Tuan ASP Mohd Ridzwan Mohd Amin, Tuan ASP Tan Woon Lee, Tuan Inspektor Aziezi Irwan Adnan, Tuan ASP S. V. Kumar, Tuan ASP Lim Beng Thye, as well as VTAREC executives, Encik Muhammad Amirun Mohd Shamshuri, Puan Adilah Mohd Akhir, Encik Mohd Afiq Sidqi Mohd Ramli and Puan Nor Idzatul Iqma Mohd Salleh.
