BUKIT AMAN, 8 May 2025: The Chairman of the Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan paid a courtesy call on Timbalan Pengarah Siasatan Jenayah (Risikan dan Operasi) of Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah D4 Bukit Aman, YDH DCP Dato’ Fadil Haji Marsus, Ibu Pejabat Polis Malaysia Bukit Aman. The visit was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) and Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) in addressing potential initiative to reduce vehicle theft and related concerns.

YDH DCP Dato’ Fadil Haji Marsus, Ibu Pejabat Polis Malaysia Bukit Aman and YBhg Datuk Lokman Jamaan, Chairman of Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia has engaged in discussions and shared perspectives on key issues concerning vehicle theft
The courtesy call was centred on a two-way conversation regarding the growing complexity and severity of vehicle larceny crime in recent years. Additionally, YBrs Puan Mas Tina shared the statistics on the current trends of vehicle larceny cases and road accidents in Malaysia, which were sourced from the insurance claims records of vehicle owners through insurance companies. Furthermore, the bilateral discussions also focused on the issue of reducing the rate of road accidents, which is showing an alarming upward trend that is observed annually.
