KUALA LUMPUR, 10 June 2026:  The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) are honoured by the strong participation in the VTAREC “Driving Requires Brains, Not Phones” Challenge. This reflects the collective commitment of our people and the positive impact of VTAREC’s efforts to reduce road accidents. The strong response from our stakeholders and the communities we serve demonstrates their and confidence in VTAREC. It also strengthens our commitment to promoting safer roads and reducing road accidents in Malaysia.

The campaign focused on the dangers of using mobile phones while driving which can distract drivers, reduce their concentration and delay their reaction time. Such behaviour can significantly increase the risk of road accidents and endanger not only the driver but also other road users.
