PULAU PINANG, 13 February 2025: The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) organised a lab focused on Road Traffic Accidents related to Human Errors, bringing together government agencies, non-governmental agencies and academic institutions. The session was officiated by YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, the Co-ordinator of VTAREC. Among the prominent speakers were YDH Puan Insp Erma Yanti Abdul Rahim from the Department of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement (JSPT), Royal Malaysian Police Penang Contingent Headquarters, YBrs Tuan Murzamir Ahmad from JPJ Negeri Pulau Pinang and YBhg Prof Madya Dr Lilis Surienty Abd Talib from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Encik Aniq Denial Fauzi also presented valuable data on road traffic accidents and human errors.
The workshop fostered a collaborative environment, encouraging participants to share strategies aimed at road safety issues. The session was expertly managed by facilitators, including Encik Aniq Denial Fauzi, Puan Marlyana Mansor and Puan Farra Hayani Mohd Tarmizi, Executive of VTAREC, with Puan Izzah Mohammad serving as the emcee. To conclude the event, mementoes were presented to Team Leaders and the Most Active Participants in recognition of their contributions.
