Stolen Malaysian vehicles repatriated from Thailand<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On the 9th<\/sup> January 2018, the Royal Thai Police (RTP) handed over 20 stolen luxury cars to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM). The ceremony took place at the Royal Thai Police Headquarters in Bangkok, presided by Pol Gen Witthaya Prayongpan, Special Advisor to the Royal Thai Police and Bukit Aman CID Director, CP Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd. The Coordinator\/Consultant of VTREC, Encik Mohd Yusof Idris was present to witness the ceremony. <\/span><\/p>\n

During the handing over ceremony CP Datuk Seri Wan Ahmad Najmuddin thanked the Royal Thai Police (RTP) for giving the support and cooperation in returning the stolen Malaysian vehicles. Since 2015 the PDRM had recovered more than 100 stolen Malaysian vehicles. Both countries pledged to strengthen the cooperation in suppressing transnational crime, including the smuggling of stolen vehicles which had indirectly and directly affected the economy of both countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the visit, RTP informed VTREC that they will be releasing an additional 2 cars, making a total of 22 cars to be repatriated. These vehicles are scheduled to be transported to Bukit Kayu Hitam Police Station on the 23rd<\/sup> of January 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
