VTAREC General Manager, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, presented a contribution of RM20,000 to the Director of Akademi JPJ, YBhg Dr Azmi Awang, during a simple ceremony held at the VTAREC office<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>KUALA LUMPUR<\/strong>, 8 July 2026:\u00a0 The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) today contributed RM20,000 to Akademi Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (Akademi JPJ) to support initiatives aimed at enhancing road safety awareness and promoting safer road user behaviour as part of the Council\u2019s effort to reduce road accidents.<\/p>\n

VTAREC General Manager, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid said the contribution reflects the Council’s commitment to supporting strategic road safety initiatives through close collaboration with government agencies and relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n

“This contribution is expected to strengthen Akademi JPJ’s efforts in advancing road safety education, expanding community outreach programmes, enhancing public awareness on safe driving and riding practices, developing educational and training materials and implementing initiatives that encourage responsible road user behaviour. It also marks the beginning of a closer strategic collaboration between Akademi JPJ and VTAREC in advancing road safety initiatives for the benefit of the community,” she said.<\/p>\n

The contribution was presented to the Director of Akademi JPJ, YBhg Dr Azmi Awang, during a simple ceremony attended by officers from the Road Transport Department (JPJ). YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid further emphasised that VTAREC remains committed to working hand in hand with government agencies, industry partners and the wider community in supporting programmes that contribute towards improving road safety standards in Malaysia.<\/p>\n

“Road safety is a shared responsibility. Through strategic partnerships such as this, we hope to contribute meaningfully towards reducing road accidents, saving lives, promoting greater public awareness and fostering a culture of responsible and safe road use among all Malaysians,” she added.<\/p>\n

During the session, YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid and YBhg Dr Azmi Awang took the opportunity to exchange views on strengthening collaboration and advancing initiatives to enhance road safety in Malaysia. Also present were VTAREC Executives, Puan Nor Idzatul Iqma Mohd Salleh, Encik Muhammad Amirun Mohd Shamshuri, Encik Muhamad Faiz Mohd Faizal, Puan Nurul Izzati Ahmad Hisni, together with officers from Akademi JPJ, Encik Aminur Anwar Ab Wahab, Pegawai Projek Kanan and Encik Mohd Fadly Suradi, Pegawai Projek. The discussion focused on opportunities for strategic co-operation in promoting road safety education, public awareness programmes and other initiatives aimed at reducing road accidents.<\/p>\n
