\u00a0<\/em>KAJANG<\/strong>, 7 June 2026: The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), in collaboration with Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) successfully organised a public awareness campaign aimed at promoting vehicle theft prevention and road safety among the community at Metro Point Complex Kajang, Selangor. YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, General Manager of VTAREC was in attendance during the public engagement. The initiative underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to advancing public awareness and fostering a safer environment for all road users.<\/p>\n

The campaign served as a platform to educate members of the public on the importance of safeguarding their vehicles against theft while encouraging greater adherence to safe and responsible driving practices. Through interactive engagement and awareness activities, participants were equipped with practical knowledge and preventive measures to enhance vehicle security and reduce exposure to road safety risks.<\/p>\n

Participants were challenged to lock and unlock a steering wheel within three seconds, illustrating that a simple security measure can be implemented in a matter of moments.<\/p>\n

Prior to the competition, participants attended an interactive awareness session conducted by Encik Muhamad Faiz Mohd Faizal, Executive of VTAREC, who shared insights on current vehicle theft and road accident trends, while highlighting practical measures to enhance vehicle security and promote safer road use.<\/p>\n

Entries were evaluated by a judging panel comprising representatives from Bahagian Pencegahan Jenayah dan Keselamatan Komuniti (BPJKK), Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), namely Kons Anuar Tumari and Kpl Mohd Syapri Zulhalmi, together with VTAREC Executives Encik Muhammad Amirun Mohd Shamshuri, Puan Nor Idzatul Iqma Mohd Salleh and Puan Nurul Izzati Ahmad Hisni. Participants were assessed based on several criteria, including logo accuracy, colour application and creativity.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Mimie & Junior delivered an engaging and heartfelt performance of “Rahsia Pohon Cemara” leaving a lasting impression on the audience<\/em><\/p>\n

While the Colouring Contest was underway, the programme continued with a singing contest, which served as an engaging platform to attract visitors and encourage greater public participation throughout the campaign. The contest received an enthusiastic response from participants, many of whom delivered energetic performances and showcased impressive creativity through their costumes and stage presence. As part of the awareness initiative, participants were also invited to share road safety slogans and messages following their performances, further reinforcing the campaign’s objective of promoting safe and responsible road user behaviour.<\/p>\n

Participants were assessed based on several criteria, including vocal quality, pitch and tone control, stage presence, creativity, audience engagement, overall presentation, and appropriateness of attire. The contest not only highlighted the talents of the participants but also contributed to the lively atmosphere of the event.<\/p>\n
