\u00a0<\/em>JOHOR BAHRU, <\/strong>1 November 2024:\u00a0 <\/strong>The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC), in collaboration with Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), organised a campaign aimed at combating the rising issue of vehicle theft. The campaign sought to educate the public on effective methods of protecting their vehicles while raising awareness about the growing concern of vehicle theft cases. Held over the weekend, the event featured informative displays, safety tips, distribution of flyers, and demonstrations on how vehicle owners can enhance their vehicle security. Representatives from both PDRM and VTAREC also shared valuable insights on anti-theft technologies, such as steering wheel locks, GPS trackers, and alarm systems, which can significantly reduce the risk of vehicle theft.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The public enjoyed participating in the educational Wheel of Fortune game, which added an interactive and fun element to the campaign.<\/em><\/p>\n

By engaging with the community in a high-traffic location such as Angsana Mall, Johor Bahru, the campaign aimed to reach a wider audience and make a meaningful impact in reducing vehicle theft cases in the region.<\/p>\n

The top prize went to Adik Nur Syifa Imanina from Sekolah Kebangsaan Kota Masai, who secured first place for her outstanding artwork. She received a VTAREC \u2018United Against Vehicle Theft\u2019 t-shirt, a goodies bag, a certificate, and a cash prize of RM130.00. Adik Lee En Qi Olivia from SJK(C) Pei Hwa Perling was named the second runner-up, receiving a VTAREC t-shirt, a goodies bag, a certificate, and a cash prize of RM100.00. The third runner-up position was awarded to Adik Nur Ruzanna Uzma Aziz from SK Nong Chik, who also received a VTAREC t-shirt, a goodies bag, a certificate, and a cash prize of RM70.00. The prize presentation marked the successful conclusion of the mini-campaign, which not only served to educate the public on vehicle theft prevention but also actively engaged young participants creatively and enjoyably.<\/p>\n
