The largest number of children participated in a colouring contest on board a train, with each contestant receiving a prize.<\/em><\/p>\n

KUALA LUMPUR,<\/strong> 3 August 2024: The Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTAREC) organised the \u201cVTAREC Colouring-on-Train Competition\u201d to raise awareness about vehicle theft among VTAREC Ambassadors on board the train. This awareness initiative was conducted in line with the campaign theme \u201cUnited Against Vehicle Theft\u201d. The competition was specifically designed to raise awareness about vehicle theft among VTAREC Ambassadors and their parents. In addition, it aimed to promote proper vehicle care and educate participants on how to avoid becoming victims of vehicle theft. Early childhood education is essential in ensuring that children develop a strong understanding of vehicle theft prevention and road safety, enabling them to pass this knowledge on to future generations.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, VTAREC Co-ordinator, delivered her opening speech during the VTAREC Colouring-on-Train Competition.<\/em><\/p>\n

The opening speech was delivered by YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of VTAREC. She extended her congratulations to the VTAREC Ambassadors 2024 and all participants of the \u201cVTAREC Colouring-on-Train Competition\u201d. She also congratulated the 76 participants who qualified as VTAREC Ambassadors and were given the opportunity to participate in the colouring activity onboard the train.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to contribute to the social well-being of the country by promoting awareness on vehicle theft prevention and road safety. This message plays an important role in educating children on how to protect their family vehicles from theft. Instilling awareness of vehicle safety from a young age can help nurture responsible attitudes and positive behaviour for the future.<\/p>\n

The colouring journey took place aboard a train travelling from KL Sentral Station to Tanjung Malim Station, and was officially recorded in The Malaysian Book of Records (MBR). The programme also provided an engaging and memorable experience for both children and parents, offering a unique learning environment beyond the classroom.<\/p>\n

As the VTAREC Colouring-on-Train Competition concluded, YDH Supt Tuan Ahmad Firdaus Mustaffa Kamal, Deputy Chief of Brickfields Police District and YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of the Vehicle Theft and Accident Reduction Council of Malaysia, led the prize presentation ceremony.
\nThe winner of Category A was Nur Keisha Amanda Ahmad Fuad from SK Gombak Setia. She received the top prize, which included a mock cheque, a goody bag, a trophy, a certificate, and a cash prize of RM500.00.<\/p>\n

Che Thaqifah Damia Che Mazlan from SK Desa Jasmin secured the first runner-up position, receiving a mock cheque, goody bag, trophy, certificate, and RM350.00 in cash.<\/p>\n

The second runner-up was Nur Aisha Damia Jumahirudin from SK Melaka Pindah, who received a mock cheque, goody bag, trophy, certificate, and a cash prize of RM150.00.<\/p>\n

YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, VTAREC Co-ordinator, presented a token of appreciation to YDH Supt Tuan Ahmad Firdaus Mustaffa Kamal, Deputy Chief of Brickfields Police District.<\/em><\/p>\n

The VTAREC Colouring-on-Train Competition successfully raised awareness about vehicle theft prevention among children and families in an engaging way. The programme provided a fun learning experience while promoting the importance of vehicle safety from a young age.<\/p>\n

Its recognition in The Malaysian Book of Records highlights the impact of the initiative and the strong cooperation between VTAREC, PDRM and other partners in promoting public awareness.<\/p>\n
