Kota Kinabalu, <\/strong>12 August 2023: Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) promotes awareness to public in continuous effort combating vehicle theft through Mini Campaign initiatives on to protect vehicle against theft.<\/p>\n

The mini campaign was held at the Imago Shopping Mall, Kota Kinabalu and attended by the public and accompanied by police officers from AMANITA and BPJKK. During public awareness mini campaign, the participants also contributed to activities such as writing messages on Doodle Wall, colouring the Doodle Wall, colouring contest, and wheel of fortune.<\/p>\n

According to YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, the Co-ordinator of VTREC, \u2018The PDRM-VTREC Vehicle Theft Public Awareness Mini Campaign to ensure more people understand and aware to what crime vehicle theft is and protect their vehicle. From this we can educate and create awareness for public on how to secure their vehicle through use a chain lock, lock a steering wheel, use anti-theft protector or signal blocking pouch for car key fob and park a vehicle in well-lit area.<\/p>\n

The supports and responses from public and police officers at the Awareness Wall were positive whereby it was filled with aspiration and positive messages and pledges against vehicle theft.<\/p>\n
