KUALA LUMPUR,<\/strong> 27 August 2021 \u2013 Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) and Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) Prize-giving Ceremony for the Colouring Contest and Short Video Challenge 2021 move online.\u00a0 The winners of Colouring Contest and Short Video Challenge were joined by family, friends, associates, PDRM officers and VTREC\u2019s Board of Directors in a virtual ceremony to celebrate their success.<\/p>\n

To begin the ceremony, the Bacaan Doa was led by YDH Tuan ASP Yusmazatu Yahya bin Yusof, Officer of Intelligent\/Operations Crime Investigation Department, D4, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), Bukit Aman.<\/p>\n

YBrs Puan Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of VTREC opened the ceremony with her Opening Speech by welcoming all winners, invitees and participants.\u00a0 YBrs Puan Mas Tina also emphasized the magnitude of vehicle theft impact and how contests able to reach bigger community crowd in order to educate and to explain further in regard to vehicle theft. Contest and challenge able to push public to interact and participate in PDRM-VTREC Vehicle Theft Campaign 2021 with theme \u201cProtect Your Vehicle from Theft.\u201d\u00a0 The Campaign was officiated by YDH Dato\u2019 Dev Kumar, Deputy Director of CID, Bukit Aman on 8 April 2021.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/em>According to YBrs Puan Mas Tina, \u201cthe participants anticipate fun and gain the chance to win something of value, it also promotes and multiply user generated creativities that get them more involved and make the campaign more memorable to them and people involved like parents, family and friends.\u201d\u00a0 In her speech, she also thanked all sponsors, Lonpac Insurance Berhad, Pacific & Orient Insurance Berhad and Liberty Insurance Berhad for their contributions and congratulated all 56 winners.\u00a0 Celebrating the overwhelming participation from the public particularly the children, additional a total of 20 special consolation prizes for kids \u201cSaguhati Khas (Kids)\u201d were offered for both Colouring Contest and Short Video Challenge.<\/p>\n

YBhg Dato\u2019 Zailani bin Haji Hashim, Ketua Pengarah, Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ) cum Deputy Chairman of VTREC has officiated the Prize-giving Ceremony.\u00a0 Speaking at the ceremony, YBhg Dato\u2019 Zailani called on government agencies and non-government agencies to appreciate the digital communication and online platform in order to facilitate any event or ceremony amid Covid19 pandemic for remote communication, since people are no longer able to get together in a big crowd and this is the new normal.<\/p>\n

During his speech, he also reminding attendees by highlighting the importance to protect vehicle from theft and beware of frauds and scams in relation to cloned car and purchasing vehicle especially through online.\u00a0 Emphasizing the techniques to protect vehicle from theft and mentality change, YBhg Dato\u2019 Zailani said it was important to create the beware mentality among children and children should be encouraged for their efforts.<\/p>\n

The winners were announced during the event and the Top 3 winners of Colouring Contest and Short Video Challenge were given the opportunities to deliver their speeches.\u00a0 The ceremony was hosted by Puan Afif Aliyana binti Abu Fitri and Encik Muhammad Alif bin Mohd Adnan.<\/p>\n
