This is to achieve the Target 3.6 of the UNSDG which is to halve the number of global injuries and death caused by road traffic accidents.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Panellists<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Moderator (1):<\/strong> Ms Jasmine Leong<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presenters and Panelists (4)<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr Mohd Rusdi bin Draman, Orthopaedic Surgeon, UM Medical Centre<\/li>\n<li>Pn Mas Tina Abdul Hamid, Co-ordinator of Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia Berhad (VTREC), person-in-charge of Road Traffic Accidents in Persatuan Insurans Am Malaysia (PIAM)<\/li>\n<li>Ms Naomi Anne a\/p Joachim Masilamany, Head of the Medical Social Worker Department, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Klang.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Malaysia has identified road traffic accidents as the 4th cause of death among Malaysians, and we have the third highest number of fatalities for every 100,000 people living in the country in South East Asia, after Thailand and Vietnam. Globally, other countries have much lower numbers such as United Kingdom (3), Japan (5) and the United States of America (10). This is to raise awareness of the long-lasting impact of an accident and it is more than what we can imagine.
