KUALA LUMPUR,<\/span><\/b> 30 October 2020:\u00a0 The Vehicle Theft Reduction Council of Malaysia (VTREC) and Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) engaged in its first ever online initiative programme #SAYNOTOVEHICLETHEFT. A webinar with a tagline \u201cProtect It or Lose It\u201d<\/b> engaging with the public was successfully conducted with over 100 participants joining.<\/span><\/p>\n

Through #SAYNOTOVEHICLETHEFT, impactful vehicle theft public initiatives ranging from school engagement, university engagement, residents, and community engagement up to mass public engagement that instills \u201cbeware of vehicle theft crime mentality\u201d in ensuring community\u2019s vehicle safety and life well-being, have been implemented and benefited the surrounding communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The VTREC-PDRM community engagement has taken place online as a webinar. Joining together in the webinar were five spectacular panelists\u00a0from agencies of government and private sectors like PDRM, JPJ, Insurance, and the victims of vehicle theft crime themselves.<\/span><\/p>\n

The VTREC-PDRM community engagement webinar aims to collaborate with residence association to create a community-wide aware of vehicle theft culture within the community, who are able and empowered to advocate, intervene and act to ensure the safety of their, their family and their neighbor\u2019s vehicles and to improve the community life well-being. In the webinar, each panelist shared their knowledge regarding the vehicle theft and gave advice to all viewers on the importance of protecting your belongings and how to handle the situation in case of any emergencies or misfortune were to happen.<\/span><\/p>\n
